DECALS ARE
PRODUCED

At Schmidbauer transfer & technology, we combine cutting-edge technology with skilled craftsmanship to create first-class decals. Our production process is clearly structured through division into several specialised units.

We initially record our customers’ requirements and expectations. Based on this information, we develop the print layouts and define the appropriate colour formulations. Following that, the required colours are mixed in our laboratory and the screens for screen printing are prepared. We then start the printing process which, depending on the volume, is done using our semi-automatic flatbed screen-printing machines or fully automatic rotary screen-printing machines.

After printing, we perform thorough quality checks, package the decals according to customer specifications, and prepare them for shipment. Clearly defined and continuously monitored production parameters throughout all stages of manufacturing guarantee consistently high quality and on-time delivery of the finished decals.

PLANNING
& PREPRESS

During the very first customer consultation, we lay the foundation for a successful print result. Together with our customers, we clarify technical and design-related questions, advise on the implementation of motifs, and determine the optimal screen-printing solution.

In prepress, colour separations are created for each colour in the design. Depending on the substrate and technical requirements, the appropriate colours are selected and the corresponding formulations are developed.

COLOUR
LABORATORY

In our modern colour laboratory, we turn the customised formulations into colours that are precisely matched to the material and the required firing temperature.

Experienced specialists work meticulously to create accurate colour mixtures. Colour is the central design element and is particularly demanding in both ceramic and organic screen printing. The previously defined formulations are carefully weighed, mixed with the printing medium to create a printable paste, and prepared for production.

SCREENS

In this production step, your designs and the corresponding screens for the screen-printing process are prepared.

The overall quality of the final product depends heavily on the quality of the printing screens. The reproduction of the finest lines, very thick ink layers, or photorealistic images requires perfectly adapted screens.

Our experienced team ensures that all technical parameters, including colour profiles and screen settings, are configured precisely.

SCREEN PRINTING

Screen printing is the heart of our production process. Using specially developed rotary screen-printing machines, we print your designs onto the appropriate carrier materials with the highest precision.

We place particular emphasis on the contact-free registration of the prints, a climate-controlled web path within the machin, reproducible machine settings and comprehensive quality assurance measures. These factors ensure consistently high print quality throughout production.

FINISHING

During finishing, we follow your specifications to ensure that our products integrate seamlessly into your production process. Cutting or slitting of the production rolls allow us to adjust roll widths and to cut sheets or individually pieces as required.

A systematic and thorough final inspection before delivery provides maximum assurance that you receive carefully tested, high-quality products.
